About Me.txt
01

I started teaching myself to code at 12, during lockdown. Six years and one move from the UK to Canada later, I'm a first-year computer science student at TMU.

02

I'm strengthening my TypeScript and Python, and starting to dig into how AI models actually work under the hood - not just calling an API.

03

I learn best by building, so almost everything on this desktop started as "I wonder if I can make this." I'm trying to ship one finished project a month instead of ten half-finished ones.

04

I also founded and ran my highschool's first ever coding club - it didn't exist before I started it.

Lumora.app

A React app built to support teen girls' mental health and confidence - daily affirmations, a mood tracker, a self-reflection journal, and a spin-for-a-compliment wheel, all wrapped in a calm pastel interface. The kind of project where the UX mattered as much as the code.

Pick a date, see what NASA's telescope saw that day. Built on the Astronomy Picture of the Day API, mostly to practice handling async data and not-so-predictable API responses cleanly. The demo below is live.

SilentFunds.py

"Justice is expensive, silence is cheaper." A Python project built for STEMing UP 2025, exploring where funding meant for justice actually ends up. My favorite project so far, because it started from an idea I cared about - not a tutorial.

Instagram.html

An HTML/CSS rebuild of Instagram's front end. One of my earliest projects, kept up because it's a good record of where I started - worth comparing against everything else here.

Toronto, Canada Β· TMU, 1st year

I build small, useful, slightly pastel things.

I started teaching myself to code at 12, during lockdown. Six years and one move from the UK to Canada later, I'm a first-year computer science student, strengthening my TypeScript and Python, and ready to contribute to real projects instead of just learning from them.

See my work Say hi

A bit more about me

I'm in my first year at Toronto Metropolitan University, and I learn best by building - so almost everything below started as "I wonder if I can make this."

Right now I'm focused on getting properly comfortable with TypeScript, past the point of copy-pasting types, and on understanding the fundamentals behind AI rather than just calling an API. I'm also trying to ship one finished project a month instead of ten half-finished ones.

I also founded and currently run my school's coding club - it didn't exist before I started it.

Four projects, in the order I'd want you to look at them.

Lumora

Project submission for TMU's Technovation 2025, where I became a global quarterfinalist, solo, after a teammate withdrew.

A data-driven project on transparency and accountability - check the repo for the full write-up.

An HTML/CSS rebuild of Instagram's front end. One of my earliest projects, kept up because it's a good record of where I started - worth comparing against everything above it.
